The key with the Apple symbol on it is the Command key
To take pictures of your Mac Screen or a web page, press and hold down the Command key, then press and hold down the Shift key and then lastly press the numerical number 3, and the whole screen is captured. For a Mac OS X 10.2 and later the file is saved as a pdf.
To capture just part of the screen or a web page, press and hold down the Command key, then press and hold down the Shift key, then press the numerical number 4 and then drag to select the area that you want to capture.
To Copy and Paste: Click and drag on the specific targeted area, once it is highlighted then press down the Control and click to copy. To paste your target on another page or in the notepad, click and then hold down the Option key and click again to paste.
Other Key Functions:
By pressing the Control key plus either of the Arrow keys will send your project off-screen. And then by pressing on the appropriate Arrow key will restore your project back onscreen. This can also work by pressing the Control key plus the numerical numbers 2,3 or 4 which will take your project off-screen, and pressing the numerical number 1 will bring them back onscreen.
In the project that you are working in, by pressing the Command key plus the F5 key will turn on the Voice Command, by pressing the Command key plus the F5 key again will turn it off.
Press the Option key plus the F15 key to bring up Systems preferences.
Press both the F14 and the F15 keys to adjust brightness.
Pressing the F12 key loads up your widgets onscreen, if you're online
Pressing the F11 key takes up or takes your project off screen, and by pressing F11 again will bring everything back on screen.
Pressing the F10 key will darken the background screen and display the project that you are working on, but you will not be able to type or work on it unless the F10 key, the Space bar, the Return key or the Esc key are pressed to reset the screen.
Pressing the F9 key spreads your work out on the screen so that you know what projects you have open. Then you can choose a project to continue working with by using the Arrow keys to highlight the appropriate project. Then press the Enter key to bring the project to the fore.
Pressing the F8 key brings up the Four work Spaces. Press F9 to separate them, and then individually drag them into the empty boxes. To work on a particular project, just click on the appropriate box to open the project onscreen. To put everything back in the same box, just press F8 again and then simply drag everything into the original box and press the Enter key or the F8 key to reset all projects back onscreen.
